‘Outsider Art and tradition’ – a contradiction in terms? The conference aims to explore questions about how Outsider Art is received: Which art traditions are reflected in the current Outsider Art debate? Can cultural traditions influence art emerging from outside the mainstream art world and art institutions? Is there a tradition of Outsider Art and where would we find it?
The 2023 annual conference and general assembly of the European Outsider Art Association (EOA) is being hosted by the Museum im Lagerhaus, in St.Gallen/Switzerland.

The Hotel Dom is a partner of the Museum im Lagerhaus and features an art concept with works from the museum collection.
At the Hotel Dom, people with increased support needs can develop their professional, social and intellectual skills. This guiding idea has shaped the concept of the Hotel Dom for over 20 years. Today, around 55 people benefit from this at various work and training places.
