Gasthaus Rössli

Description

The Rössli is a 300-year-old Appenzell house with an art nouveau hall. Already attested as an inn in 1835, it has preserved its authentic charm thanks to a gentle renovation. It is situated in a quiet location on the old main street in the village center of Trogen. There are 11 beds in the six individually designed guest rooms, framed by antique designer furniture. The attic room can be offered as a multi-bed room. Largely originally contained and carefully restored, the inn impresses with selected room colors and furnishings, unfinished wooden floors, a restored 100-year-old linoleum floor and two exclusive wooden showers with black, Asian natural varnish (Urushi). These are located with the WC's in the hallway. The house is rather ring-horned, the room ceilings low. However, we hope that our guests will find this a charming addition and thank them for their consideration. There is a small roof terrace as well as free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Trogen train station and the village store are a three-minute walk away. There are no parking spaces of our own. Breakfast is available at the Ernst restaurant directly across the street and at the Hotel Schäfli just around the corner (not included in the room rate).
