SMALLNIK Rorschach

With the growing work of art BIGNIK, conceptual artists Frank and Patrik Riklin from Atelier für Sonderaufgaben are giving picnics a whole new meaning: "Working together to create a huge picnic cloth for the entire population, consisting of 293,438 cloths, which is exactly the population of the region." This has been the vision of the Riklin brothers, who came up with the idea and concept for the BIGNIK project, since 2012. The cloths are collected with the help of the local population, sewn together into cloth modules and laid out once a year as a huge, constantly growing picnic cloth. In order to make the BIGNIK cloth visible throughout the year, the individual cloth modules are made available to guests in the region as SmallNIK (together with a picnic basket) - en Guete beim SMALLNIK!

Feinkost Kündig AG has 3 branches: In the old town of St.Gallen (Webergasse 19), at Lukasstrasse 61 in St.Gallen-Neudorf and at Marktplatz 6 in Rorschach. You can pick it up at these 3 locations.

You can book the offer online up to 2 days in advance.

Be it in the secluded St.Gallen city park, on the shores of Lake Constance in Rorschach and Steinach or in the idyllic nature park of the Nature Museum.

Farmer`s pear bread, Appenzeller Pantli, monastery cheese from St.Gallen and a bootle of water as well as a picknick-towel are included.
