14–15 November 2026: Day ticket for the anniversary weekend, including a short guided tour: ‘Human and the universe’

Duration

People usually spend 4 hours here.

Description

It will be 10 years in mid-November since the Natural History Museum moved into its new building. We would like to celebrate this during our anniversary weekend with a special programme and the opening of our new exhibition area: ‘Human and the universe’.

Outside normal opening hours on both days, guided tours of the new ‘Human and the universe’ exhibition area will be offered: spend 15 minutes in Switzerland’s largest mirror room discovering the infinite vastness of the universe with its planets, stars and black holes. During the following 15 minutes in the surrounding ‘Human’ section, the focus will be on the challenges we face today in dealing with the environment: What impact do humans have, and what solutions are there to mitigate negative effects?

Before or after the guided tour, the museum offers walk-in experiments on the universe, a pub quiz in the museum café, a VR experience and much more.
