Culinary Hike in the Rhine Valley between Au and Marbach
Description
The culinary hike in the St.Gallen Rhine Valley is varied in every respect. The path passes meadows, woods, inland canals and vineyards as well as residential houses and settlements. In principle, the tour is not very strenuous, but runs mainly on level ground.
The ascent to the restaurant Maienhalde and later to Romantik restaurant Schloss Weinstein are the only exceptions. Here the climb is a little steeper on the Rheintaler Höhenweg, but the effort is worth it, as you are rewarded both with culinary delights and a view of the Rhine Valley and the surrounding region.
In between, you can relax and recharge your batteries on the flat section and especially in the courtyard of the Businesshotel Forum Widnau during the main course. Get to know and love the St.Gallen Rhine Valley.

Choice of starter:
Bernecker Riesling x Sylvaner cream soup
Colourful seasonal salad with Rehmostbröckli (roe deer juice crumbs)
Rheintaler savoy cabbage
All dishes are also available as vegetarian options.
1.15 p.m.: Main course at Businesshotel Forum Widnau
Choice of main course:
Beef goulash with spaetzli
Chili con Carne with bread
Vegan vegetable curry with jasmine rice (spicy)
4.00 p.m.: Dessert at the Romantik Restaurant Schloss Weinstein
(The Romantik Restaurant Schloss Weinstein is open during the week from 4.00 p.m. at the earliest).
Slice with strawberry cream, strawberry salad and sorbet
From October: Homemade apple fritters with vanilla sauce
