Culinary Hike "Garmil High Altitude Hike"

Description

Study alpine education, enjoy the far-reaching view over Sarganserland and savour regional specialities from your picnic rucksack at the summit cross. Let yourself be surprised by the culinary hike to the "Garmil".

  • Picnic with regional products

  • Ride on the Pizol cable cars (gondola and chair lift)

  • Information boards on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona

  • Magnificent panoramic view of Sarganserland from the summit cross

  • View of the imposing Churfirsten mountain range

"Garmil" means "small mountain peak" in Romansh. But what the high-altitude hike to the Garmil offers is by no means little: you are provided with a picnic backpack filled with regional specialities at the valley station of the Pizol cable cars. Then you take the cable car and a chairlift to the Gaffia mountain station. The hike can now begin. Along your route you will find information boards explaining the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona Site that surrounds you. The crowning glory of the hike is the summit cross, where you have a magnificent view over Sarganserland. Find a cosy spot for your picnic or make yourself comfortable on the benches next to the summit cross. From a cutting board to a picnic blanket: you'll find everything you need in your rucksack.
