The Appenzeller Show Dairy takes you on a very special journey of discovery: from artisanal cheesemaking to the wide and wonderful scenery of Appenzellerland. It also offers an unforgettable experience of the region’s living traditions and customs. It is precisely this connection with their homeland that makes the people of Appenzell so unique.

This show dairy for the world-famous Appenzeller® cheese is situated amid an idyllic alpine landscape. Find out why Appenzeller® cheese is known as the tangiest cheese of Switzerland. While the recipe for the herbal brine remains a closely guarded secret, you can still create your own mixture of herbs that you can take home with you. Listen to the typical sounds of Appenzellerland, marvel at the impressive cheese cellar where up to 12,500 wheels of cheese are stored, and enjoy a fascinating view of the cheese vat.
